In the 20th minute Troy Murry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Formaggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes, Antonio Ceccarelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schuster and the Stowe City players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Schuster getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Antonio Ceccarelli hit a great ball. Ernesto Formaggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Hanley in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carter Rocco to make the kick off. Stowe City's Ricky Gardner was substituted for Cristobal Weathers. Ricky Gardner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ernesto Formaggio made a huge save. Dillon Yoder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Ceccarelli in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Schuster's goal looked a bit too open when Marvin Holbrook came free, but Ernesto Formaggio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, one of Schuster:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
