Amancio Artal was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Alvaro Elia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alvaro Elia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romulo Cordearo during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Celestiales getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Romulo Cordearo hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Dionisio Corderall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Titanes Mayas booed when Celestiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Munio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Cordero scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amancio Artal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joaquin Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Titanes Mayas's zone, Haroldo Tono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Artal came out of the goal and Haroldo Tono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Celestiales's goalkeeper Carolo Ralondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alejandro Dolfos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Amancio Artal made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Joaquin Cordero sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Titanes Mayas getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Felix Ferran hit a great ball. Celestiales's Pablo Bonadona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Titanes Mayas. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Joaquin Cordero made the kick off in the second half. Carolo Ralondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celestiales's Joaquin Cordero got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 67 minutes, Joaquin Cordero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celestiales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Cordero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Astigar in the 72nd minute of play forced Titanes Mayas's goalkeeper Amancio Artal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestiales's Joaquin Cordero got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Celestiales got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Cordearo. Celestiales's Carolo Ralondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Celestiales from getting a goal against them. Luciano Astigar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Celestiales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Tono to maneuver through the defense. Romulo Cordearo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
