In the 30thth minute of the game Lennart Iwens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SCARFACE's Giovanni Braamhaar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Lennart Iwens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, SCARFACE's Luc Ensing got a free kick in the 37th minute. SCARFACE's Giovanni Braamhaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Iwens in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Paul-Louis Van Caubergen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Lions United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lions United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
