Ahmet Gündüz Aksakal made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jacque Bracke sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute Guilian Jannis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Gündüz Aksakal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacque Bracke hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 30thth minute of the game Arif Nihat Suavi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Brugge's Giles Valkeneers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Brugge's goalkeeper Giles Valkeneers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Club Brugge booed when ALTINORDU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nizam Şanalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Şerafettin Alkın who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Brugge's Giles Valkeneers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Şerafettin Alkın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augustijn de la Croix hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arif Nihat Suavi to make the kick off. Arif Nihat Suavi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giles Valkeneers having to interfere. Dave Goorts took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ahmet Gündüz Aksakal. Ahmet Gündüz Aksakal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 75th minute, Şerafettin Alkın ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giles Valkeneers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Nizam Şanalp charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nizam Şanalp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Şerafettin Alkın scored 2-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giles Valkeneers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 89 minutes, Şerafettin Alkın managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ALTINORDU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şerafettin Alkın was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ALTINORDU were furious when Arman Tecelli was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Club Brugge a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dave Goorts, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ALTINORDU's Ahmet Gündüz Aksakal. 3-2. ALTINORDU were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
