Matty Sullivan might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Transito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stu Connery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Leo Transito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Barr Point's Billy Metcalf got control of the ball when Cirilo Bastiaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The referee ignored Riquelme 10's protests and gave Abelardo Dalmai a yellow card for diving instead. 85 minutes into the match, Barr Point's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Dalmai came free, but Billy Metcalf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Transito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paddy Bastow in the 87th minute of the match. Billy Metcalf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Dalmai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Americo Behe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Metcalf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Barr Point failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
