Benedicto Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yoachim Seveneijns in the 19th minute of play. Jesus Leheren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benedicto Vidal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yoachim Seveneijns's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. New York Giants's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jeroen Loos in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoachim Seveneijns in the 33rd minute of play forced Soflov FC's goalkeeper Benedicto Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Jesus Leheren could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Philippe Creemers however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Vercasteren in the 38th minute of play forced Soflov FC's goalkeeper Benedicto Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, New York Giants's Yoachim Seveneijns sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedicto Vidal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Cederic Kest cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benedicto Vidal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 46 minutes, Yoachim Seveneijns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York Giants's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yoachim Seveneijns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Yoachim Seveneijns made the kick off in the second half. Hans Vercasteren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Benedicto Vidal made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yoachim Seveneijns in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedicto Vidal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of New York Giants booed when Soflov FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Claris didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in New York Giants's zone, Jesus Leheren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philippe Creemers came out of the goal and Jesus Leheren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hans Vercasteren kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Philippe Creemers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jesus Leheren went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Soflov FC booed when New York Giants was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yoachim Seveneijns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philippe Creemers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesus Leheren's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. When Enrique Lizardi fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soflov FC's protests and gave Enrique Lizardi a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Raul Claris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soflov FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Claris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yoachim Seveneijns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Benedicto Vidal made a huge save. In the 93rd minute Jesus Leheren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philippe Creemers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Soflov FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching New York Giants's performance. The match ended with a win for New York Giants.
