The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reac Futebol Clube's Carlos Alberto Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Ospetsu in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Camilo Ospetsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Carlos Alberto Valladares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santo Romelio hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Camilo Ospetsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Carlos Alberto Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Ernesto Cordero managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Reac Futebol Clube's Rodrigo Pirani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th minute, Oscar Mantzio made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Alberto Valladares. Reac Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Gerardo Paio came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Islas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Paio couldn't finish the play. Carlos Alberto Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Paio, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The supporters of Reac Futebol Clube booed when Islas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Cordero made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Luís Gustavo de Souza sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Islas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Melo came free, but Ernesto Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anibal Papo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The long shot by Luís Fernando Melo in the 35th minute really tested Ernesto Cordero's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Oscar Mantzio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reac Futebol Clube's Carlos Alberto Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Camilo Ospetsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Reac Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Ospetsu came free, but Carlos Alberto Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fernando Melo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Ezequiel Solustiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Alberto Valladares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camilo Ospetsu made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Reac Futebol Clube's zone, Oscar Mantzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Valladares came out of the goal and Oscar Mantzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 played minutes Reac Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Costa. Gerardo Paio scored 1-3 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Alberto Valladares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Camilo Ospetsu in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Alberto Valladares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santo Romelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Camilo Ospetsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Islas FC's Ernesto Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo de Souza in the 71st minute of play. Rodrigo Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Camilo Ospetsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Reac Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Amílton Mandrak hit a great ball. Camilo Ospetsu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Islas FC's Gerardo Paio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Alberto Valladares. That made the score 1-4 after 85 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Reac Futebol Clube's zone, Gerardo Paio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Valladares came out of the goal and Gerardo Paio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Gustavo de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Cordero having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Reac Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Pirani to maneuver through the defense.
