The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Carlos Guimarães got free with Jens Alebäck in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enio Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Åke Lindberg in the 25th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Nils-Åke Lindberg put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Enio Moraes. 34 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Guimarães notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Bora Bora's Jens Alebäck. Jens Alebäck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the game, Nils-Åke Lindberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Enio Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bora Bora's performance. The match ended with a win for Bora Bora.
