After a rather tough play, Cestarolli FC's Betinho Peixoto got a free kick in the 31st minute. Mauro Mannie was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ceferino Pepillo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Chorache to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pesas Rusas AFC's zone, Hélder Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Guillelmus came out of the goal and Hélder Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, William Proença notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pesas Rusas AFC's Herminio Guillelmus. Herminio Guillelmus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Pesas Rusas AFC booed when Cestarolli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herminio Guillelmus came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Cestarolli FC's William Proença. But to his dismay, William Proença quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Mauro Mannie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Leonardo Cardozo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Chorache in the 68th minute of play forced Cestarolli FC's goalkeeper Leonardo Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cestarolli FC's Leonardo Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Chorache in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Proença in the 85th minute of play forced Pesas Rusas AFC's goalkeeper Herminio Guillelmus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jorge Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Cestarolli FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Queiroz couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Pesas Rusas AFC's Prudencio Bras got a free kick in the 88th minute. Cestarolli FC's Dadá Capixaba couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pesas Rusas AFC. 91 minutes into the match, William Proença had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herminio Guillelmus. Pesas Rusas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Proença was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. André Bastos's late challenge caught a Pesas Rusas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cestarolli FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pesas Rusas AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
