Edgar Novaes was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Impávido's Edgar Novaes got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Percival Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egídio de Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio de Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Clube Atlético Impávido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edson Mendes was the one to do the kick off. In the 89th match minute, Clube Atlético Impávido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Edson Mendes had several of the Clube Atlético Impávido's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 91 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Guto Couto as he didn't even see the shot coming.
