Jorge Oberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonidas Moscoso during the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Orlando Ramírez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buenaventura FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Ramírez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Frisk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonidas Escalona. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When Sten Caspersson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Sunkens Surtröjor's Kennet Tidéksson got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 56 played minutes, Buenaventura FC's Enrique Gómez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Folke Frisk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Buenaventura FC reached it. When Martin Bolin fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sunkens Surtröjor's protests and gave Martin Bolin a yellow card for diving instead. The Sunkens Surtröjor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Folke Frisk should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute Franklin Zambrano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Frisk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sunkens Surtröjor's zone, Pablo Bermudez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Frisk came out of the goal and Pablo Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sunkens Surtröjor's Verner Strömberg got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Folke Frisk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Ramírez in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Sunkens Surtröjor left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Buenaventura FC.
