Giannis Kadoglou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Elder de Queiroz made a huge save. Chrisostomos Benakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Rezende in the 17th minute of play. Chrisostomos Benakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Elder de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aris Skaboulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The wind increased when Giannis Kadoglou made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, PAOK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Varela came free, but Chrisostomos Benakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the PAOK FC defense, Fernando Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chrisostomos Benakis. The PAOK FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chrisostomos Benakis should have stopped the shot. Chrisostomos Benakis made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Vitório Rezende sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Catadão's Fernando Varela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chrisostomos Benakis. That made the score 0-7 after 67 minutes of play. Chrisostomos Benakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Varela in the 71st minute of the match. PAOK FC's Chrisostomos Benakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Rezende in the 72nd minute of play. Chrisostomos Benakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Massa in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitório Rezende got free with Chrisostomos Benakis in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Catadão played a much better game than PAOK FC and deserved their victory. The PAOK FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
