The audience thought a goal was coming when Uriel Ibar got free with Christiano Guimarães in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 11 minutes on the clock, Benigno Claris commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 11 played minutes Old School FC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Claris. Jean Pirani hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Vidal in the 15th minute of play forced Old School FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Papo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Carlinhos Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Papo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor de Lara to maneuver through the defense. Toninho Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Christiano Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Froylan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Old School FC's Edgardo Papo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo dos Santos in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Edelmiro Bibiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Joélson Nogueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edgardo Papo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Christiano Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Froylan in the 36th minute of the match. Fernando Froylan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, João Vítor de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Froylan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Guimarães having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Motta Futebol Clube made a substitution. William Jacinto replaced João Vítor de Lara. Edelmiro Bibiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Christiano Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute Carlinhos Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Papo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Papo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Jacinto in the 58th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Edgardo Papo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Motta Futebol Clube's William Jacinto got a free kick in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlinhos Vidal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgardo Papo. That made the score 0-2 in the 67 minute of play. Christiano Guimarães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Froylan went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Edgardo Papo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgardo Papo was a little too slow when Carlinhos Vidal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 1-3. Carlinhos Vidal struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Edgardo Papo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motta Futebol Clube. Fernando Froylan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Motta Futebol Clube's Christiano Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Froylan in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, William Jacinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Motta Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Old School FC the free kick. In the 95th minute, William Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Motta Futebol Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
