After 8 minutes, Bernd Schuler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Tuggen and the Alexandrie CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Alexandrie CF booed when Fc Tuggen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernd Schuler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute José Poizat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Wellauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Claude Francois notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fc Tuggen's Teobaldo Wellauer. Teobaldo Wellauer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Teobaldo Wellauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Francois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Claude Francois left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alexandrie CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Ducharme in the 29th minute of play forced Alexandrie CF's goalkeeper Bart Lyon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fc Tuggen's Teobaldo Wellauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Poizat in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Fc Tuggen getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Stanislaus Bosch hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Fc Tuggen's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Francois came free, but Teobaldo Wellauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teobaldo Wellauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claude Francois in the 40th minute of the match. Alexandrie CF's José Poizat got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teobaldo Wellauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Poizat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Alexandrie CF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Teobaldo Wellauer was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Yann Delacour capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yann Delacour really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Fc Tuggen's Teobaldo Wellauer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Tuggen from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Fc Tuggen's Cedric Grüter got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Christian Gély sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teobaldo Wellauer skillfully saved the ball. If Victor Ducharme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute Bernd Schuler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Lyon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Claude Francois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claude Francois who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Teobaldo Wellauer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Charlie Florin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teobaldo Wellauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Francois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Claude Francois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Wellauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandrie CF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
