Beto Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Ballack to strike the kick off in the second half. When Dagoberto de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's protests and gave Dagoberto de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
