The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Waldemar do Vale fired a really elegant long shot, but Reynaldo Savion threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Reynaldo Savion made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Rodolfo Torres sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar do Vale came free, but Reynaldo Savion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar do Vale in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Savion saved Bahía é Carnaval from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Belo Academy's Waldemar do Vale got a free kick in the 13th minute. Reynaldo Savion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Reynaldo Savion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Marinho in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão de Brito in the 21st minute of play forced Bahía é Carnaval's goalkeeper Reynaldo Savion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábio Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Savion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Bahía é Carnaval's Rigoberto Fe got a free kick in the 26th minute. Waldemar do Vale didn't quite understand what happened when in the 28 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 31 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goalkeeper Reynaldo Savion had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Torres. Bahía é Carnaval's Reynaldo Savion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Bahía é Carnaval from getting a goal against them. Reynaldo Savion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Marinho in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute Waldemar do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Savion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Savion made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Vicente Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Marinho came free, but Reynaldo Savion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldemar do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Genaro Hernandez to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Henrique Luz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reynaldo Savion skillfully saved the ball. In the 54th minute Fábio Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Savion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bahía é Carnaval's Reynaldo Savion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Torres in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Fábio Marinho notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bahía é Carnaval's Reynaldo Savion. Reynaldo Savion was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bahía é Carnaval's Reynaldo Savion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar do Vale in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Bahía é Carnaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar do Vale came free, but Reynaldo Savion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bahía é Carnaval's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Waldemar do Vale was slow to take the kick. During this time Belo Academy's players had a chance to rest. Vicente Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Savion having to interfere. Reynaldo Savion came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Belo Academy's Waldemar do Vale. But to his dismay, Waldemar do Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After some careless play in the Bahía é Carnaval defense, Rodolfo Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Savion. The Bahía é Carnaval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Savion should have stopped the shot. Rodriguinho Meirelles was a little too slow when Genaro Hernandez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 3-1. Reynaldo Savion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão de Brito in the 93rd minute of the match. Pedrão de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Reynaldo Savion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute Pedrão de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Savion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
