The audience was convinced that Francis Canyelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrézinho Mattos was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 29th match minute, Uzumaki FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duardo Cameno to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes in the game, Severino da Costa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without André Onana having to interfere. When Duardo Cameno came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Uzumaki FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duardo Cameno couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Erling Håland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrézinho Mattos. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrézinho Mattos should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francis Canyelles in the 41st minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Andrézinho Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. André Onana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belmiro Jimenez hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Real Cruzeiro FC's Edgar da Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Onana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Francis Canyelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Real Cruzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Erling Håland struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Andrézinho Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uzumaki FC. In the 71st minute Severino da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Onana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Francis Canyelles could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Andrézinho Mattos however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Real Cruzeiro FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Júlio Arruda hit a great ball. Belmiro Jimenez scored 1-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrézinho Mattos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, Uzumaki FC's Erling Håland dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Real Cruzeiro FC's Andrézinho Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Håland in the 89th minute of play.
