Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claude Van Dijck started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Winksele 2016's Claude Van Dijck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jon-Inge Kolberg. Jon-Inge Kolberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Jannis Preuveneer hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The Nerd Herd's Jon-Inge Kolberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save The Nerd Herd from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Slåtten in the 14th minute of play forced Winksele 2016's goalkeeper Sem Severens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Høines charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Høines the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Dan Høines. Jon-Inge Kolberg made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jan-Simon Van Hemel sent off a good shot on target. David Aelgoet's late challenge caught a The Nerd Herd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Aelgoet helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Winksele 2016 got a freekick which was hit by David Aelgoet. In the 24th minute, Winksele 2016's Michel Dauwe seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Michel Dauwe the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Winksele 2016 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Michel Dauwe had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 24th minute, one of Winksele 2016:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Winksele 2016. Jan-Simon Van Hemel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Jon-Inge Kolberg made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Dan Høines's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sem Severens was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the game, Gill Uijterhoeven was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Winksele 2016's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Nerd Herd the free kick. In the 44th match minute, The Nerd Herd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Høines to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Kjetil Osen. If Joos De Middeleer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Høines made a kick off. Dan Høines hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Hans-Erik Midtun kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Vebjørn Dyb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Winksele 2016's goalkeeper Sem Severens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vebjørn Dyb. Vebjørn Dyb might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sem Severens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vebjørn Dyb ran back to his position shaking his head. Winksele 2016's Sem Severens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Winksele 2016 from getting a goal against them. Jon-Inge Kolberg came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Winksele 2016's Joos De Middeleer. But to his dismay, Joos De Middeleer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Joos De Middeleer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon-Inge Kolberg having to interfere. Sem Severens made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Vebjørn Dyb sent off a good shot on target. After 72 minutes, Eivind Engh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Nerd Herd and the Winksele 2016 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Nerd Herd! After having played for 82 minutes, Glenn Skjønhaug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Nerd Herd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn Skjønhaug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sem Severens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vebjørn Dyb, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Jan-Simon Van Hemel kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Winksele 2016 had won after a very even match.
