The referee showed Zeca Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Zeca Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Lucas came free, but Manuel Pască reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Andrițoiu in the 19th minute of play forced FC La Masia's goalkeeper Olívio Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes, Inácio Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC La Masia and the Raureni Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, FC La Masia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Toledo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Custódio in the 23rd minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Manuel Pască to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Paulo Lucas took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Pască. Manuel Pască dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The supporters of FC La Masia booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Pârâianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pompiliu Andrițoiu got free with Olívio Romero in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If João Paulo Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half FC La Masia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pompiliu Andrițoiu made a kick off. In the 54th minute João Paulo Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Pască saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doru Maniu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Manuel Pască showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Manuel Pască took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldir Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Pompiliu Andrițoiu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ion Pârâianu succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Trevisan got free with Manuel Pască in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when FC La Masia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC La Masia's Olívio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ion Pârâianu in the 85th minute of play. FC La Masia were furious when Waldir Tróia was red carded, 86 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 92 minutes into the match, Ion Pârâianu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olívio Romero. FC La Masia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ion Pârâianu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2.
