The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 8 minutes into the game, one of Raureni Academy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Inter Gala. Dadá Cavalcante stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Manuel Pască. 1-0. If Ion Pârâianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes of play, Raureni Academy's Ion Pârâianu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olívio Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26thth minute of the game Ademar Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Raureni Academy's Manuel Pască was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Petrea came free, but Olívio Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Pască showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Raureni Academy's Ştefan Petrea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olívio Abraão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardinho de Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Pască. That made the score 2-2 in the 43 minute of play. Florin Manu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardinho de Souza made a kick off. Manuel Pască made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Barbosa in the 53rd minute of play. Ion Pârâianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Ion Pârâianu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Raureni Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ion Pârâianu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Florin Manu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 64 minutes, Ştefan Petrea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Raureni Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ştefan Petrea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardinho de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ştefan Petrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Pască showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Figueiredo in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Barbosa in the 84th minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Manuel Pască to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 minutes of play, Inter Gala's Ricardinho de Souza made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Pască was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olívio Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Petrea, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Inter Gala fans cheered their team off the field, for while Raureni Academy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
