In the 10th minute Camilo Mera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Echarriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Unión CF's Mariano Echarriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrico Revuelta in the 13th minute of play. Zosimo Villalaud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Zosimo Villalaud put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kevin Verdu. After a rather tough play, Real Unión CF's Alvarez Hergueta got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ceferino Aguilo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mariano Echarriza. Real Unión CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Real Unión CF getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Dominguez Muniz hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, El Pasteral F.C's goalkeeper Kevin Verdu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zosimo Villalaud. After having played for 33 minutes, Zosimo Villalaud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Unión CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zosimo Villalaud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Venerando Eguizabal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Unión CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Pasteral F.C the free kick. The supporters of Real Unión CF booed when El Pasteral F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Mera didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes Real Unión CF got a freekick which was hit by Venerando Eguizabal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrico Revuelta to make the kick off. Kevin Verdu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zosimo Villalaud went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Enrico Revuelta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrico Revuelta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mariano Echarriza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, El Pasteral F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gorosti Verdeja to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Zosimo Villalaud had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Verdu. El Pasteral F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zosimo Villalaud was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 71 minutes, Nardo Carbajo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Unión CF and the El Pasteral F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Real Unión CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nardo Carbajo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, El Pasteral F.C's Neron Cienfuegos got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some careless play in the El Pasteral F.C defense, Dominguez Muniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevin Verdu. The El Pasteral F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Verdu should have stopped the shot. El Pasteral F.C's Kevin Verdu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leizarraga Texidor in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in El Pasteral F.C's zone, Dominguez Muniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Verdu came out of the goal and Dominguez Muniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Real Unión CF's Leizarraga Texidor got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to El Pasteral F.C getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mingo Villafane hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Real Unión CF's Nardo Carbajo got a free kick in the 95th minute.
