Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Sergio Caitano made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Sergio Caitano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Locura Académica's Fulgencio Balendin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uriel Raymon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Tximitx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Sergio Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The goalkeeper, Fulgencio Balendin, was totally fooled by Velez Sarsfield's Victorio Gilesindo, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Melchor Birila hit a great ball. Sergio Caitano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Fulgencio Balendin 18 minutes into the match. Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Tximitx in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Flores. Uriel Raymon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Ostargi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timoteo Berbiz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fulgencio Balendin firmly grabbed it by the left post. 25 minutes into the match, Sergio Caitano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fulgencio Balendin, 4-0. When Rolando Ostargi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Locura Académica's protests and gave Rolando Ostargi a yellow card for diving instead. Fulgencio Balendin made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Sergio Caitano sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Locura Académica's Celedonio Mundo got a free kick in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the game, Leo Tximitx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Locura Académica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velez Sarsfield the free kick. A collision led to Locura Académica getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leo Tximitx hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Rolando Ostargi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uriel Raymon was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 42nd minute, Prudencio Itzaina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulgencio Balendin made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jesus Napier sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the game, Sixto Guillelmus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Uriel Raymon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leo Tximitx to strike the kick off in the second half. Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Melchor Birila hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Tximitx got free with Uriel Raymon in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Caitano in the 62nd minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Fulgencio Balendin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Locura Académica getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Leo Tximitx hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Raebert in the 66th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Fulgencio Balendin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Raebert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Balendin having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Caitano in the 72nd minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Fulgencio Balendin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Balendin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Caitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Leo Tximitx received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Uriel Raymon came out and tried to block the shot, but Leo Tximitx slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 77th minute. Leo Tximitxs short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Uriel Raymon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Rodolfo Flores hit a great ball. Locura Académica's Fulgencio Balendin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Caitano in the 87th minute of play. Isaac Marcones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Balendin having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Sergio Caitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Caitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolando Ostargi was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Rolando Ostargi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Genaro Argina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
