But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Berbiz couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Drozdowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Caitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Bartosz Zjawin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Raymon having to interfere. The tension between the Chopina Wejherowo and the Velez Sarsfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chopina Wejherowo's Sebastian Drozdowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Napier in the 15th minute of play. Sebastian Drozdowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Caitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sergio Caitano sped through Chopina Wejherowo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastian Drozdowski. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genaro Argina during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Victorio Gilesindo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Drozdowski was left in no man's land by his defense there!

In the 93rd minute Sergio Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Drozdowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uriel Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Simone in the 98th minute of the match. Velez Sarsfield's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
