The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goal looked a bit too open when Eerik Aavakivi came free, but Arnviður Þorsteinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Hnikar Hinriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mihkel Üksik came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the FC Raasiku Kõrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihkel Üksik couldn't finish the play. Æsir Ásgarðr's Arnviður Þorsteinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eerik Aavakivi in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eerik Aavakivi in the 34th minute of play forced Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Arnviður Þorsteinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kristvarður Ingimundarson fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Æsir Ásgarðr's protests and gave Kristvarður Ingimundarson a yellow card for diving instead. Kristvarður Ingimundarson hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Hendrik Linnus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 42 minutes on the clock, Andri Elíasson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 42 played minutes Æsir Ásgarðr got a freekick which was hit by Andri Elíasson. In the 43rd minute of the match Mihkel Üksik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnviður Þorsteinsson skillfully saved the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kristvarður Ingimundarson to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Eerik Aavakivi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnviður Þorsteinsson.
