Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kristvarður Ingimundarson started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Screaming Eagles's Allan Hammarberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnviður Þorsteinsson. Arnviður Þorsteinsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Allan Hammarberg notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Æsir Ásgarðr's Arnviður Þorsteinsson. Arnviður Þorsteinsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute, Æsir Ásgarðr's Áslákur Reynisson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Áslákur Reynisson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Æsir Ásgarðr protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Áslákur Reynisson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Arnviður Þorsteinsson came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Screaming Eagles's Allan Hammarberg. But to his dismay, Allan Hammarberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Arnviður Þorsteinsson made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Per Grubb sent off a good shot on target. Arnviður Þorsteinsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sven-Ove Skager showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 19 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Screaming Eagles's Emanuel Sundén slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnviður Þorsteinsson. That made the score 5-0 after 24 minutes of play. 28 minutes into the match, Michael Ekström notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Æsir Ásgarðr's Arnviður Þorsteinsson. Arnviður Þorsteinsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 32 minutes, Arnleifur Oddvarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Æsir Ásgarðr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnleifur Oddvarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnviður Þorsteinsson made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Per Grubb sent off a good shot on target. Arnviður Þorsteinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Pihlwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Arnviður Þorsteinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Pihlwall in the 43rd minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michael Ekström was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Æsir Ásgarðr's Andri Elíasson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Michael Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnviður Þorsteinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Screaming Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Æsir Ásgarðr the free kick. Allan Hammarberg kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Grímlaugur Hannibalsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Emanuel Sundén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Hammarberg came free, but Arnviður Þorsteinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Ekström scored 7-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnviður Þorsteinsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andri Elíasson hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Emanuel Pihlwall made a precise shot to the right of Arnviður Þorsteinsson. Æsir Ásgarðr's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 90 minutes into the game, Sven-Ove Skager threw the ball into play from the sideline. Æsir Ásgarðr's Grímlaugur Hannibalsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Screaming Eagles booed when Æsir Ásgarðr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andri Elíasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Emanuel Sundén sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnviður Þorsteinsson skillfully saved the ball. In the 97th minute Emanuel Pihlwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnviður Þorsteinsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Screaming Eagles's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
