An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Sánchez in the 3rd minute of play forced El ABUELO FC's goalkeeper Gaudencio Manny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucila Marines hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Elixio came free, but Luis-Antonio Jurado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Juan Sánchez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaudencio Manny, 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Sánchez to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as El ABUELO FC's Evelio Bladi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luis-Antonio Jurado. That made the score 2-1 after 53 minutes of play. In the 74th match minute, Tirant lo Blanch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sánchez to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Asier Checa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tirant lo Blanch's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El ABUELO FC the free kick.
