Egídio Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fábio Porto fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canarinho Atordoado's protests and gave Fábio Porto a yellow card for diving instead. Fábio Porto hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match.
