Jerry Felin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mårten Stabbe. When Lennart Ahlin fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Reds's protests and gave Lennart Ahlin a yellow card for diving instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conny Aleberg was the one to do the kick off. Bengt Strandberg hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Conny Aleberg struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jerry Felin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Reds. When Robin Ånger fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Annedal FC's protests and gave Robin Ånger a yellow card for diving instead. Robin Ånger kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Egil Kilstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Annedal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Strandberg to maneuver through the defense. The Reds's Mårten Stabbe quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Annedal FC's Robert Ekblom was substituted for Carl Petersson. Annedal FC's Per-Olof Söderqwist was substituted for Karl Asserlind. Calle Gustavsson made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by The Reds's Mårten Stabbe. Jerry Felin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Aleberg in the 78th minute of play. Stig Broberg hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Joseph Wallmark's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Johnny Paulin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 88th minute, Annedal FC's Per-Olof Söderqwist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johnny Paulin. Johnny Paulin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
