Osmar Carneiro's late challenge caught a Go Ahead Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osmar Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Akira アキラ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmar Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Romário MacAlister notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Go Ahead Eagles's Themistoklis Charalambakis. Themistoklis Charalambakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 10 minutes into the match, Stelios Panagiotidis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juan Riquelme, 1-1. In the 13th minute Dimitris Koukoulas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Riquelme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Zacharias Panagoulias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Go Ahead Eagles's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacharias Panagoulias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Riquelme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan Riquelme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Koukoulas in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Romário MacAlister ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Themistoklis Charalambakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Themistoklis Charalambakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário MacAlister in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lakis Patsoureas during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Lakis Patsoureas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Riquelme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soulis Xanthakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Lakis Patsoureas got a free kick in the 31st minute. The corner ended in Ramón Barral almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Go Ahead Eagles's Themistoklis Charalambakis did a great save. With a little luck, Akira アキラ's Juan Riquelme got control of the ball when Dimitris Koukoulas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Stelios Panagiotidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Riquelme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Go Ahead Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 44 minutes into the match, Akira アキラ's goalkeeper Juan Riquelme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vaios Sakoulidis. After 46 minutes, Ramiro Veloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Akira アキラ and the Go Ahead Eagles players grew even worse after the yellow card. After the first half Akira アキラ were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Raí Pires could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Themistoklis Charalambakis made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Koukoulas in the 54th minute of play forced Akira アキラ's goalkeeper Juan Riquelme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Akira アキラ's goal looked a bit too open when Soulis Xanthakos came free, but Juan Riquelme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Riquelme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Koukoulas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 58th match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soulis Xanthakos to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Osmar Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stelios Panagiotidis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juan Riquelme. Akira アキラ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Dimitris Koukoulas notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Akira アキラ's Juan Riquelme. Juan Riquelme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 92 minutes into the game, Dimitris Koukoulas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Juan Riquelme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Akira アキラ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Akira アキラ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
