Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göksel Tümkan to make the kick off. Damon Holdsworth's late challenge caught a TÜRKİSTAN 61's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boroondara Milan's Brooker Cowdell got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Onuralp İşkembeci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birrell Gledden in the 93rd minute of the match. Bud Ludwick scored 0-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Onuralp İşkembeci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Boroondara Milan's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
