Zbyszek Cisek got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Eugênio Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Carneiro in the 28th minute of play forced Zgierskie Zlewy's goalkeeper Aleksander Dziuma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Zgierskie Zlewy's Edgar Gall got a free kick in the 35th minute. The supporters of Zgierskie Zlewy booed when Mandalas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerzy Ziemniak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aleksander Dziuma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
