Spectators: 7519 (Terracing: 5640, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Academia Monte Gordo's Marcos Leonardo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alberigo Rossetti hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Alberto Camerlengo came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Monte Gordo's Marcos Leonardo. But to his dismay, Marcos Leonardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 13 played minutes Academia Monte Gordo got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Linhares. In the 20th minute, Felice Anzolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Damião Passos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Monte Gordo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Academia Monte Gordo's attentive Daniel Linhares managed to snatch the ball when Comunardo De Rubeis made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. In the 30th minute, Damião Passos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Camerlengo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Francisco Morata's late challenge caught a Ugonotti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Morata helped the player get up and apologised. 33 minutes into the match, Ugonotti's Alessandro Moreschi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Vitelli came free, but Nuno Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes Academia Monte Gordo got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Morata. 37 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Nuno Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Moreschi. Ernesto Vitelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Nuno Vasconcelos made a huge save. If Marcos Leonardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Academia Monte Gordo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ugonotti's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Damião Passos 52 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. With a little luck, Ugonotti's Alberto Camerlengo got control of the ball when Eduardo Vasconcelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ugonotti's Alberto Camerlengo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Ugonotti from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Academia Monte Gordo getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nicolau Madruga hit a great ball. Biagio Tamburrini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nuno Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Aldo Crema mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ugonotti and the Academia Monte Gordo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ugonotti getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Aldo Crema hit a great ball. In the 80th match minute, Academia Monte Gordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damião Passos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Monte Gordo's zone, Biagio Tamburrini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Biagio Tamburrini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 minutes of play Ugonotti's Felice Anzolin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Ugonotti getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Felice Anzolin hit a great ball. Alberto Camerlengo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damião Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
