The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andrej Čistý kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Ballester FC's zone, Silvester Krovina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Markel came out of the goal and Silvester Krovina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 7 played minutes Villa Ballester FC got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Beltza. 11 minutes into the match, Villa Ballester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvester Krovina came free, but Freddy Markel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Kukova United got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Lajčin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Mannie in the 14th minute of play forced Kukova United's goalkeeper Stano Cisár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Markel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvester Krovina in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Kukova United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbert Fischer to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Saverio Beat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Villa Ballester FC's goalkeeper Freddy Markel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marek Karafiát. The supporters of Kukova United booed when Villa Ballester FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Beltza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Villa Ballester FC's Freddy Markel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvester Krovina in the 27th minute of play. Kukova United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matúš Čerňanský in the 29th minute. Freddy Markel came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Kukova United's Silvester Krovina. But to his dismay, Silvester Krovina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Silvester Krovina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddy Markel was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Silvester Krovina took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Markel. Freddy Markel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 47th minute, Luis Mannie made a precise shot to the right of Stano Cisár. Kukova United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

The wind increased when Silvester Krovina made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Villa Ballester FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Severiano Calixto hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Silvester Krovina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddy Markel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Freddy Markel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Karafiát in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Villa Ballester FC's Pastor Napier got a free kick in the 71st minute. Kukova United's Ľubomír Považský was substituted for Andrej Čistý. Stano Cisár showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Mannie, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Eduardo Ceandro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Silvester Krovina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Freddy Markel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Krovina in the 90th minute of play forced Villa Ballester FC's goalkeeper Freddy Markel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ľubomír Považský took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freddy Markel. Villa Ballester FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kukova United's Róbert Fischer got a free kick in the 96th minute.
