Spectators: 7645 (Terracing: 5735, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silvester Krovina started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marek Karafiát during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Selebi-Phikwe booed when Kukova United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Karafiát didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kukova United's goalkeeper Stano Cisár, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommi Ooms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvester Krovina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes of play, Kukova United's Silvester Krovina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommi Ooms was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Kurt Van Hove left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Selebi-Phikwe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Kaba Okala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
