Carolo Erruki came out of the goal and Dino Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carolo Erruki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Balotelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Los Patanes's Damaso Mino got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 27 played minutes Los Patanes got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Etxahun. The referee felt a red card was in order, 31 minutes into the game, when Fulgencio Charro put in a rough tackle. 30 minutes into the game, one of Los Patanes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 42 minutes into the match, Mario Balotelli notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Los Patanes's Carolo Erruki. Los Patanes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave México Eterno MZC the free kick. After 47 played minutes Los Patanes got a freekick which was hit by Felix Semeno. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Balotelli in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carolo Erruki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Los Patanes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. México Eterno MZC were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Balotelli to make the kick off.
