The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Nicu Olăroiu made a precise shot to the right of Artur Sarmento. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Nicu Olăroiu came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Artur Sarmento could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Nicu Olăroiu took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Artur Sarmento to make any attempt to save it. Hílton Abraão struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Toader Almăgean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ. Granicerul's Toader Almăgean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Abraão in the 16th minute of play. Hílton Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Toader Almăgean came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Alberto Lopes. But to his dismay, Alberto Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hílton Abraão struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Toader Almăgean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ. Toader Almăgean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Abraão in the 31st minute of the match. Artur Sarmento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicu Olăroiu went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Artur Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Artur Sarmento was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Cezar Mârzac capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cezar Mârzac really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. Toader Almăgean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Olteanu to make the kick off. Emil Olteanu scored 5-1 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artur Sarmento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toader Almăgean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Abraão in the 58th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Abraão. 64 minutes into the match, Erivaldo Barros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Toader Almăgean. Granicerul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erivaldo Barros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Artur Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Olteanu in the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ediberto Azevedo hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Toader Almăgean successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Artur Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Cernea in the 80th minute of the match. If Nicu Olăroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ioan Blidaru hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cezar Mârzac during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Granicerul getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Cezar Mârzac hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Nilton Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toader Almăgean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hílton Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Granicerul.
