The throw-in from Pedro Luiz Pombal in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Verwachting's Ferdi Dol. Oscar Vaalman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Edgard Abraão made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in JURIDIQUES F.C's zone, Menno Hoogendorp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Abraão came out of the goal and Menno Hoogendorp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgard Abraão made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Hans van Gaal sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd match minute, JURIDIQUES F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Machado to maneuver through the defense. Carl-Chester Derby hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Gerard Salens hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a little luck, JURIDIQUES F.C's Edgard Abraão got control of the ball when Hans van Gaal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Dé Vargas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JURIDIQUES F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verwachting the free kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jefferson Barreto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, JURIDIQUES F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Vaalman came free, but Edgard Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menno Hoogendorp in the 59th minute of play. Domenik Kromkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Oscar Vaalman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verwachting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Menno Hoogendorp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Spierenburg to maneuver through the defense. Dalmo Bastos charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmo Bastos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Oscar Vaalman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgard Abraão was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After some careless play in the JURIDIQUES F.C defense, Oscar Vaalman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Abraão. The JURIDIQUES F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Abraão should have stopped the shot. When Oscar Vaalman fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verwachting's protests and gave Oscar Vaalman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Oscar Vaalman got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Verwachting's zone, Dé Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ron Lammers came out of the goal and Dé Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Verwachting fans cheered their team off the field, for while JURIDIQUES F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
