Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Menno Hoogendorp kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the match, PP Plessydask's goal looked a bit too open when Hans van Gaal came free, but Niclas Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niclas Lundqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ed Bijlsma's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Menno Hoogendorp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Vaalman in the 12th minute of play forced PP Plessydask's goalkeeper Niclas Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Vaalman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niclas Lundqvist having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Hans van Gaal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niclas Lundqvist. PP Plessydask's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hans van Gaal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Hans van Gaal scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niclas Lundqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Verwachting's Domenik Kromkamp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niclas Lundqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The supporters of Verwachting booed when PP Plessydask was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Haagenstjerne didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Menno Hoogendorp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verwachting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 31 minutes into the match, Menno Hoogendorp notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of PP Plessydask's Niclas Lundqvist. Niclas Lundqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 34 minutes, Oscar Vaalman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verwachting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Vaalman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Hans van Gaal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans van Gaal took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niclas Lundqvist. Niclas Lundqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Oscar Vaalman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Verwachting's Hans van Gaal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niclas Lundqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dag Lindmark made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the game Wilfred Bemmel made a throw-in which Menno Hoogendorp played forward. Niclas Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans van Gaal, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Dag Lindmark charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dag Lindmark the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to PP Plessydask getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Dag Lindmark hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Menno Hoogendorp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niclas Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans van Gaal in the 60th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, PP Plessydask's Dag Lindmark nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ron Lammers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Menno Hoogendorp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niclas Lundqvist having to make a save. Niclas Lundqvist came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Verwachting's Hans van Gaal. But to his dismay, Hans van Gaal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-9. Dag Lindmark hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Niclas Lundqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Vaalman in the 91st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Verwachting's Menno Hoogendorp slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niclas Lundqvist. That made the score 1-10 after 93 minutes of play. In the 96th minute, Olov Bengtsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Verwachting could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than PP Plessydask throughout the match.
