A wasted opportunity for Rafaela FC. 16 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Prospero Calvino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Irinel Chiriță. In the 22nd minute, Nichifor Dumitrescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Irinel Chiriță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Calvino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's Martin Hurko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Avram Ştercă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Hurko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Ştercă having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Locaio. After 37 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Dumitrescu. Prospero Calvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iggy Doro in the 40th minute of play. Prospero Calvino was a little too slow when Iggy Doro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Rafaela FC booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurel Sucigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Avram Ştercă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting a goal against them. Liviu Sima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Iggy Doro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurel Sucigan hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Fausto Timo charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Timo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Fausto Timo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adan Gonsalvo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Avram Ştercă firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nichifor Dumitrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Prospero Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aurel Sucigan fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's protests and gave Aurel Sucigan a yellow card for diving instead.
