A collision led to Achtung Babies getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Eleuterio Lamberto hit a great ball. Diego Tajo took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Friedmann. Simon Friedmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Achtung Babies's Diego Tajo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simon Friedmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Tajo came free, but Simon Friedmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Friedmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Lamberto in the 16th minute of the match. Diego Tajo charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Tajo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Achtung Babies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Tajo to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Diego Tajo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Simon Friedmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the match, Diego Tajo notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Poli Timisoara's Simon Friedmann. Simon Friedmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Achtung Babies's Eleuterio Lamberto in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eleuterio Lamberto made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Eleuterio Lamberto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Friedmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 55th minute, Adan Txeru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Simon Friedmann. The goal made the score 0-7. Simon Friedmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Tajo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Achtung Babies's Diego Tajo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Simon Friedmann. That made the score 0-9 after 66 minutes of play. Simon Friedmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Tajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Poli Timisoara's Jonas Rathmann got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Uwe Kuinke fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poli Timisoara's protests and gave Uwe Kuinke a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Uwe Kuinke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Poli Timisoara's Simon Friedmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Tajo in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Achtung Babies's Eleuterio Lamberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When the final whistle sounded Achtung Babies left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Poli Timisoara.
