In the 21st match minute, Black Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Chan to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Uwe Kuinke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justin Kulovitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rouven König hit a great ball. When Justin Kulovitz came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Poli Timisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justin Kulovitz couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Orlando Stephen put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Simon Friedmann. In the 41st match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Discher to maneuver through the defense. The Poli Timisoara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Black Devils were winning 0-1.

In the 53rd minute, Uwe Kuinke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Uwe Kuinke came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Poli Timisoara fans jumped to their feet.
