Spectators: 7527 (Terracing: 5646, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bartolo Oto started the match with the kick off. Aurelio Sabin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márcio Zanette in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th match minute, Matungo Gaúcho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Bartolo Oto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Fernando Lara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aurelio Sabin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Cardozo in the 13th minute of play. Bartolo Oto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Fernando Lara made a huge save. Fernando Lara was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Bartolo Oto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bartolo Oto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Bartolo Oto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernando Lara, 2-0. After 28 played minutes Guansa got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Gabino. Fernando Lara made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Tomás Henry sent off a good shot on target. After 34 played minutes Guansa got a freekick which was hit by Moises Galtero. After 36 minutes, Eustaquio Orlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guansa and the Matungo Gaúcho players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Guansa got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Orlin. Miguel de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Fernando Lara made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Bartolo Oto sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Frisco in the 46th minute of play forced Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Fernando Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Benedito Cardozo made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Guansa's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Cardozo came free, but Aurelio Sabin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Frisco's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Fernando Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Oto in the 55th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Bartolo Oto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Fernando Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnaldo Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaldo Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Matungo Gaúcho's Arnaldo Fernandes got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 72 played minutes Guansa got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Calixto. The supporters of Guansa booed when Matungo Gaúcho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Tomás Henry was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guansa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matungo Gaúcho the free kick. In the 80th minute Bartolo Oto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Matungo Gaúcho defense, Tomás Henry kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Lara. The Matungo Gaúcho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Lara should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute Bartolo Oto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 played minutes Matungo Gaúcho got a freekick which was hit by Miguel de Andrade. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolo Oto in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Lara saved Matungo Gaúcho from getting behind. There was no doubt that Guansa were the better team. Guansa's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
