Alejo Maties took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benigno Abeitia. Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 16th minute, Dalmacio Tab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Momentum FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Anselmo Haritz hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, Momentum FC's Celestino Salvino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benigno Abeitia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Atlético Nacional's Benigno Abeitia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Nacional from getting a goal against them. Eriberto Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Christian Rocio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Momentum FC the free kick. 44 minutes into the game, Momentum FC's Celestino Salvino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 48th minute, Eriberto Urtzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Godofredo Manni was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Godofredo Manni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Teodoro Faro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ladislao Blai kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Momentum FC made a substitution. Ignacio Patxi replaced Horacio Igon. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when Momentum FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Momentum FC's Raul Eliu got a free kick in the 64th minute. Teodoro Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Manni, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Mario Refugio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Faro having to interfere. Roque Tab hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jonatan Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Benigno Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Txilar to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes, Momentum FC's Alejo Maties shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benigno Abeitia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Momentum FC reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonatan Maju in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benigno Abeitia saved Atlético Nacional from getting behind. Ismael Vela took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Faro. Teodoro Faro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
