In the last second Mihăiţă Ştefulescu throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nereo Txilar in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Laurențiu Floricel fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GoooooL's protests and gave Laurențiu Floricel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GoooooL getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Laurențiu Floricel hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Manni got free with Mihăiţă Ştefulescu in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mihăiţă Ştefulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Refugio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benigno Abeitia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Foltea, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
