Júlio Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Skirmantas Melekša in the 23rd minute of play. Motiejus Saudargis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Júlio Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kęstutis Skersys got free with Júlio Soares in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd match minute, FK Mintis Vilnius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marijus Goštautas to maneuver through the defense. Breguete FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Kęstutis Skersys scored to the left of an out of position Júlio Soares, making the score, 1-2. In the 61st minute, Valdemaras Rudys ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Soares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When Kęstutis Skersys came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the FK Mintis Vilnius fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kęstutis Skersys couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Norberto Massa hit a great ball. Valdemaras Rudys hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kęstutis Skersys in the 79th minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Júlio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Augusto Santos during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
