Aurelio Gaspard hit a great ball. In the 18th match minute, Dep Colonia Avellaneda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavino Fernado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Hug in the 29th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Joaquin George to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Hitz to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Gaspard got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Aurelio Gaspard kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Apolo Richie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Apolo Richie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Joaquin George made a huge save. 44 minutes into the game, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Apolo Richie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin George made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Apolo Richie made a kick off. Joaquin George took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Richie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Apolo Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernan Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Richie in the 60th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Joaquin George to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Ignazio kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernan Hug in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin George prevented the ball from getting in the gole. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Fernan Hug got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin George took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Hug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Fernan Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Richie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin George made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Richie in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Aurelio Hitz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Richie in the 96th minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Joaquin George to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
