Crosmayo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's Normando Torres got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Carolo Baldovino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crosmayo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Dobale in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Ordono prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardo Solo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Hibai Cao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Braulio Berriotxoa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Ionel Zărnescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augusto Ordono was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ariel Felipillo's late challenge caught a FCSB CUENCA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariel Felipillo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Crosmayo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Felipillo to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Ordono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zunbeltz Albizua, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Ionel Zărnescu notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Crosmayo FC's Augusto Ordono. Augusto Ordono was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The supporters of FCSB CUENCA booed when Crosmayo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Berriotxoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Ordono didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FCSB CUENCA's Ionel Zărnescu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-5 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 69th match minute, Crosmayo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Rufio to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Ionel Zărnescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Augusto Ordono, 1-6. Alfons Japón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Crosmayo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alfons Japón fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 87 minutes of play, FCSB CUENCA's Ionel Zărnescu made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Ordono was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FCSB CUENCA booed when Crosmayo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Berriotxoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Jonathan Rufio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfons Japón struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Augusto Ordono didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCSB CUENCA. Isaac Santalla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Ordono. Crosmayo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The FCSB CUENCA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FCSB CUENCA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
