Spectators: 7446 (Terracing: 5586, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) After some careless play in the Grêmio FBPA defense, César Rosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldo Ramos. The Grêmio FBPA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldo Ramos should have stopped the shot. Ronaldo Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Esteves scored 0-2 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronaldo Ramos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute, Wilian Alves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luiz Paulo Brito. The goal made the score 1-2. 19 minutes into the match, Silvinho Perez sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Luiz Paulo Brito threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Silvinho Perez this time. 20 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's Silvinho Perez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Grêmio FBPA's Afonsinho Neto got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Alfredo Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronaldo Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 36 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by César Rosa. 38 minutes into the game, Andrézinho Quadros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio FBPA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marzagão the free kick. The supporters of Marzagão booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when César Rosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrézinho Quadros might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Paulo Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrézinho Quadros ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilian Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when César Rosa 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Ronaldo Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Grêmio FBPA's Ronaldo Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio FBPA from getting a goal against them. Afonsinho Neto hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Veiga in the 73rd minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Paulo Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Alfredinho Quintal hit a great ball. Cleiton Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleiton Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Cleiton Paulista got a free kick in the 84th minute. Wilian Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Luiz Paulo Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Paulo Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cacá Veiga went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Marzagão were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Grêmio FBPA's much stronger midfield.
