In the 42nd minute, Caco Donato fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pedrinho Severo, passed just outside the right post. Aílton Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Luiz Paulo Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for César Rosa to strike the kick off in the second half. Luiz Paulo Brito made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Aílton Amorim sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Richard Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zandarin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Paulo Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aílton Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrinho Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Richard Fantini hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Alfredinho Quintal fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marzagão's protests and gave Alfredinho Quintal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zandarin FC booed when Marzagão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Zandarin FC's Pedrinho Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Esteves in the 80th minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Richard Fantini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zandarin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marzagão the free kick. The supporters of Marzagão booed when Zandarin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedrinho Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Richard Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Although Marzagão had been in control for most of the match, Zandarin FC still came away with the win.
