The supporters of Ampthill FC booed when Seagulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Timmermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ampthill FC's Dave Ferrell got a free kick in the 18th minute. Ozzy Etherington scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jurre Everts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conal Knight-Percival in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jurre Everts saved Seagulls from getting behind. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Andreas Heijen hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ozzy Etherington in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jurre Everts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Conal Knight-Percival came free, but Jurre Everts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Brendon Allanson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jurre Everts was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Seagulls's Jurre Everts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conal Knight-Percival in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Ozzy Etherington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurre Everts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jurre Everts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ozzy Etherington in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egbert Timmermans to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Conal Knight-Percival made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Seagulls's Jurre Everts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Dave Ferrell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jurre Everts. The goal made the score 0-6. Jurre Everts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conal Knight-Percival in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Harm Meinders hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Seagulls's zone, Garry Kinsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jurre Everts came out of the goal and Garry Kinsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ozzy Etherington scored 0-7 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jurre Everts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute, Dave Ferrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Seagulls defense, Dave Ferrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jurre Everts. The Seagulls fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jurre Everts should have stopped the shot. After 74 played minutes Conal Knight-Percival rounded Seagulls's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-9. Garry Aspinall came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jurre Everts could save by the left post. After 81 played minutes Ampthill FC got a freekick which was hit by Fitz Gerrard. Jurre Everts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garry Aspinall went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Ozzy Etherington kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jurre Everts. That made the score 0-11 in the 86 minute of play. Conal Knight-Percival did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-12 to the left of a surprised Jurre Everts 89 minutes into the match. Jurre Everts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conal Knight-Percival in the 92nd minute of play.
